The My Files option located on the SA Mobile Desktop allows you to access your files locally on the computer that you are currently on, as well as your files at home remotely.
Before you can open a file, you must locate the file. This is done by browsing to the folder in which the file is stored in. The first option you have is the folders list box. This simply shows you a list of folders. Just arrow to the folder that you want, and tap enter, or move to the open button. Once you find the folder with the files that you want to open, move to the files list box. As with the folders list, just tap enter when you are on the file that you wish to open. If the file is a remote file, on your home, or main computer, you may need to activate the download button in order to use the file.
When you want to open a file on your home computer, you first must locate the file's location as described above. When you find the file you want, choose the download button. This lets the SA Mobile Network know that you want to open a file located on your home computer. When you choose the download button, you will notice an edit box containing the file's name. Just move to the download button to confirm that you really do wish to download this file to the computer that you are on. Next you will notice the standard download window. As usual, this window will show you the progress as the file is being sent from your home PC to the PC that you are currently working on. When the download is complete, you will be notified of this, and you can then activate the open button. The file will open, and you can edit it in the usual way. When you are done making changes to the file, just save the file, and the SA Mobile Network will take care of the rest, and put the document back on your home computer with your changes intact!
Using the SA Mobile Network, you can open text files, Microsoft Word® documents, Microsoft Excel® documents, and Microsoft Power Point® documents. HTML files will be opened, but you cannot edit these files. Note that the SA Mobile Network will not let you open program files. This is for security reasons, such as viruses, and the like.
You can also rename, move, copy, and delete, folders or files by first selecting the file, or folder that you wish to change, then activating one of the buttons, such as delete, move, or copy. You can also create a folder by activating its button.
