Well, my life has been interesting for the past few weeks. I have had to wear an eye patch because of some drama with my cornea. In wearing the patch I have had a couple of different children come to me and ask me why I am a pirate or a captain. I love kids.
Well, I am back going through blind guy training in Boise. I have been back for almost a week now. It is ging weel so far. Had an interesting couple of days. B.J. and I grabbed a cab to get some Carl Jr’s for lunch. This cabbie was a stud. After going through the drive-thru he asked “Where to now?” We told him back to the Commission building. I said “we have to get back to our secret training.” He replied ” All of us sighted people know you blind guys are all Ninjas.” It was so funny. Other things here have been a hoot as well. It is interesting how fast people with a disabibility can come together to help each other out. It is nice to see.
