I’ve begun asking people to read things out loud to me. That is, familiar texts, and, being further adventurous, unfamiliar texts. Everything from kid’s books, to grownup. It’s a good way to immerse the right ear to get a sense of different voice characteristics. All are welcome to join in, be it in person, over the phone, or whatever you have the time for. It’s cool when different people read different things, and also different people reading the ***same material, allowing for getting a different acoustic all around. Thanks to Mary T, Shelly, Robin, and Karen so far. We’ve covered such diverse matter all the way from children’s fare such as Walter the Farting Dog series, to some excellent autobiographical memoirs like To Race The Wind by Harold Krents. I look forward to reading more with my new right side. As of yesterday Friday morning, and all day this day, things are really starting to settle in with this week’s brand new retuning and tweaking. I know things will move forward very nicely!! (smile)
