A great field trip the other day for ear class. It was the public open rehearsal in the morning for a local orchestra. I could hear the various musical components, but no particular notation, nor could I really tell with the singing imbedded within whether it was man or woman opera singer. Of course, to add to the puzzler was the fact that the music was unfamiliar and diverse, which is fine. I just need to bring on more live music!! Maybe some trips to Pearl Street for some various venues. I’ve been delving into recordings thus far, to start my relearning of absolute pitch. I’m also ready for the next mapping session in August, and am all set for a total tweak for increased power. What happens is, over time, I end up bringing the settings that are defaulted across the scale totally up to the top. This is natural progression and acclamation. It just shows over time periods, you’re ready for more broad spectrum. When I find myself starting to feel very comfortable with everything set to the maximum, Allison and Karen say, as they said before several months ago, “Yep, you’re ready for even more.” Bring it all on!!
